Pastor's Welcome

My Dear Friends,
It is my pleasure to introduce you to our Parish Website. As Pastor, I am privileged to witness the various ministries and outreach of St. Thomas More Parish Community. This resource will provide you with a thorough overview of our parish life. Our Parish is a vibrant Spirit-filled community with activities and programs for all ages, from the smallest of children to those who have advanced in years. Each person, regardless of age, is a gift. Each person walking through the doors of our Church has a story - it is a sacred story; a story to be nurtured and respected. Everyone is welcome. People of every race, language and way of life equally belong to this wonderful community. All have a part to play.
Many hundreds of people participate in our varied ministries, programs and various organizations. There is a place for everyone to share their love for the Lord and dedication to God’s people. New people are adding to our numbers each week. We have a very active parish life and we endeavor to foster a good family atmosphere. Our ministries continue to thrive and encourage others to join them in their efforts in serving God. Our liturgical an educational ministries reflect the deep faith of our people; they embrace the Spirit of the renewal of the Second Vatican Council. Our outreach to the poor is at the forefront of our dedication to making a difference in a broken world. This website will introduce you to ministries and activities that maybe you never knew existed. It will familiarize you with the work involved in each given area of pastoral and liturgical concerns and offer you contact information.
It is very evident that all we have is a gift from God. When we are greeted by a new day and find companionship through the various relationships we forge in life, all of this us made possible by the Giver of the Gift. The church we believe in and the world in which we exist is a tremendous treasure freely given by our heavenly Father. As you thumb your way through this information, please contemplate where your place may be within our community life. There are so many ways in which we can give back to God. We can give of our time and talents, so that God may be glorified through us. We can give of our treasure so that we may be able to create and maintain ministries of outreach, education and concern. It is my hope and prayer that you will discern where you can make a difference in the Church and in the world.
May God continue to walk with you as you journey through life.
Peace and Love,
Fr. Don Henry
